Brett Kavanaugh at first seemed an unlikely wedge issue (at least beyond what any Supreme Court nominee would be in these days when “the nine” have enshrined themselves as a super-legislature).  But what a 17 year old did or did not do is now being added to a long list of grievances cleaving the political poles further and further apart.  I explore and offer a controversial recommendation here at First Things.
